Ages 6-8

Acting Director of Coach Pitch Softball – OPEN

• The coach pitch division’s focus is on basic skill-building in the fundamentals of the game. Players at this level have migrated from Tee Ball but may still need practice with making contact on coach-pitched balls, catching balls cleanly, and basic throwing mechanics. Team building, sportsmanship and keeping the game fun are all important components at this age level.  

• The schedule consists of 2 games per week on Mondays & Wednesdays with a 30 min practice before the game, at EGHS fields for home games. The team travels locally in the district to play other towns. The district is comprised of teams from East Greenwich, North Kingstown.

• Equipment requirements are minimal and generally consist of a softball glove.

• Registration is $150 (Each player receives a team hat and jersey)

• 2023 season begins at the end of April and finishes early June
